Political Statement on the United Kingdom’s Decision to List Iran at the Highest Level of the Foreign Influence Registration System

The Ahwazi Democratic Solidarity Party welcomes the United Kingdom’s decision to designate the Iranian regime—including its intelligence apparatus and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)—at the highest level of the Foreign Influence Registration System. This move marks a significant step in the international community’s efforts to curb the Iranian regime’s hostile activities against dissidents and freedom fighters, both within Iran and in exile.

For decades, the Ahwazi Arab people, alongside other non-Persian nations and democratic forces in Iran, have endured systematic repression, ethnic persecution, and political and economic marginalization at the hands of the Iranian regime. The regime’s threats against dissidents and activists abroad, including in the United Kingdom and across Europe, further underscore its expansionist and authoritarian nature, as it continues to employ violence and intimidation to silence free voices.

The Ahwazi Democratic Solidarity Party fully supports this decisive action by the UK and urges the international community to intensify efforts to counter the Iranian regime’s influence and hold it accountable for its crimes against oppressed peoples, both inside and outside Iran. We stress the need for additional measures, including expanded sanctions on regime leaders and further restrictions on its economic and diplomatic activities, which often serve as a cover for subversive operations.

Finally, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to a peaceful and democratic struggle for the rights of the Ahwazi Arab people and all oppressed peoples in Iran. We call upon democratic forces across the region and the world to strengthen their support for the just cause of Ahwaz and to work toward ending tyranny and oppression in Iran.
