On the UK Parliamentary Report Regarding Security Threats Posed by the Iranian Regime

10 July 2025

The Democratic Solidarity Party of Alahwaz is closely following the report released on 10 July by the UK Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee, which clearly outlines the escalating threats posed by the Iranian regime to the national security of the United Kingdom. These threats include acts of intimidation and harassment targeting political dissidents and journalists—particularly activists from non-Persian ethnic groups who are demanding their legitimate rights, most notably the Arab people of Alahwaz.

The contents of this report confirm a reality that our party and other democratic forces have long warned about: the Iranian regime systematically exports its tools of repression beyond its borders, blatantly disregarding international norms and legal safeguards related to human rights and freedom of expression. The report’s documentation of assassination plots and abduction attempts against dissidents on British soil constitutes a grave violation of UK sovereignty and a direct challenge to the international community and the democratic values it upholds.

The Democratic Solidarity Party of Alahwaz commends the efforts of British institutions in exposing these threats with transparency and expresses full solidarity with all those targeted. We call for strengthened legal and political protections for dissidents. Furthermore, the party reiterates its call for the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization, due to the clear and ongoing threat it poses to peace and stability—both within Iran and globally.

We affirm that such systematic campaigns of intimidation will not deter advocates of justice. On the contrary, they will only strengthen the determination of those who strive to defend their people’s rights—especially the Arab people of Alahwaz, who have endured systematic marginalization and oppression for decades. The Iranian regime’s external aggressions mirror its domestic repressive policies and demand a unified international response to hold it accountable and curtail its violations.

In conclusion, the Democratic Solidarity Party of Alahwaz calls upon the British government—alongside all other governments and international institutions—to address these threats with the seriousness they warrant and to take all necessary measures to protect dissidents and civilians, ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice. The party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to a peaceful and democratic struggle for the freedom and dignity of the Alahwazi Arab people, grounded in a comprehensive vision of justice and the recognition of all peoples’ right to self-determination.
