Dozens of Ahwazi Arab activists face trial

According to Ahwazi human rights activists tens of Ahwazi Arab detainees who arrested within Intefada anniversary in Arrest


March and April each year since 2005, when more than 500 peaceful demonstrators arrested by the security officers.

On Tuesday 6th August, Saleh Tamoli (Torfi), 30, Mehdi Zergani, 30, and Adel Saadouni, 24, from Hay-el-thawra (Koyeh-Alawi) in Ahwaz city, appeared in Revolutionary Court who were arrested by the Intelligent Services (Ettelaat) on 11th April 2013. The same source added that until now there is no charge, and their personal belongings such as laptops and books also had been taken. They have been interrogated and seriously tortured by the Security officers during the last two months. The Arab activists previously appeared in branch 12 of the Revolutionary Court and charged ofmaking propaganda against the regime and lunched Facebook pages and other social network activities against the Islamic Republic by judge Ahmadi.

The Ahwazi Arab civilians after being transferred to Karoun prison they were released on bail of one and half billion Tomans for each. On Tuesday 6th August they appeared in branch 106 in the same court without having a solicitor. The judge without any previous research which proved their involvement in making propaganda against the regime, only few pictures regarding Syria conflict in their laptops were found.

Many other Arab civilians still have to appear on court only because of their involvement in Intefada anniversary and charged disturbing the national security and communication with the enemy in the West.
