Parliamentarians and politicians affirmed that the press is going to scandalize each statesman or public figure who
deals with “Al Wefaq”

“Al Wefaq has aimed at ruining the Kingdom’s economy in its attempt to dethrone the political regime in Bahrain,” parliamentarians and politicians said.
By Local Affairs Editor: Many influential political personalities have insisted that “Al Wefaq Political Society tries to put down any project that does not go with its plan to dethrone the political regime. “Al Wefaq” is believed to master doubting any attempt to reach consensus if it is not in the origin of such attempt. “El Wifaq” wouldn’t like to be committed to any solution that favors political and social harmony and consensus because it is simply against any consensus. On the contrary, it is for any violent escalation with its antagonists.
These political personalities have told “Al Watan” that “Al Wefaq” has split the Bahraini society on the basis of sects and has been engaged into a propaganda preaching disunity and sedition to serve international agendas and particularly the Iranian one. These political figures have shown, though, that Bahraini citizens are aware of this plot and they no longer trust “Al Wefaq” even though it uses “political camouflage” called “political taqiyyah” for its conspiracy becomes bluntly conspicuous. “Al Wefaq” under the command of “Wilayat Al Faqih” (clerical governance) in Iran has made a mistake to irrationally trigger sedition at home. The same Bahraini personalities asked “Al Wefaq” to get rid of its irresponsible attitude and to also apologize to Bahraini people after the terrible events which took place last February and March, 2011.
MP Khamis Rumaihe has in fact confirmed that “Al Wefaq” has tried by all means to destroy the kingdom’s economy by kicking out foreign workers and making people desert their stores. So, the price of a store’s square meter has dropped from 15 dinars to 4 dinars only. He has also indicated that the economic depression in Bahrain is due to “Al Wefaq’s” irresponsible attitude to cause trouble in order to implement the agenda of “Wilayat Al Faqih” (clerical governance) and Iran. He added that “the role of the national press is to scandalize all statesmen or public figures who deal or sympathize with “Al Wefaq” because it is doing nothing but implementing the conspiracies of Iran against Bahrain. Senior officials in Bahrain must not cooperate in any case with those who work against their nation and against its economic progress.” “Al Wefaq” is against any national consensus”, Rumaihe concluded.
Similarly, the political activist Mohammed Al Marran clarified that “those who established “Al Wefaq” association are an extension to those who wanted to ruin the kingdom’s national unity in the 1970s, the 1980s and the 1990s. And when we focus deeply on “Al Wefaq’s” members, we notice that they are all submitted to “Wilayat Al Faqih” and closely linked to Iran culturally, politically and religiously. He also added “that “Al Wefaq” has split the Bahraini society on the basis of sects following the command of “Wilayat Al Faqih” in Iran”. He has also warned people against this association and against its demagogy. “The terrible events Bahrain has lately witnessed frequently reoccur every 10 years. We should remember that Ali Salman said they would come back after a decade. Ali Salman still threatens social security and warns us to cause a social and political crisis in Bahrain, which I think he is capable of,” Deputy Mohamed Al Marran said. He added that “Al Wefaq” avoids getting involved in any national consensus because it is against any consensus. On the contrary, it is for any violent escalation with its antagonists. During the crisis, “Al Wefaq” was for national dialogue but surprisingly opposed it when the crisis was over because it wanted to lead this national dialogue with the government, which the whole population was against. I think the Bahraini people no longer trust “Al Wefaq” even though it uses “political camouflage” or “political taqiyyah” and I hope it will stop behaving irresponsibly, which the Bahraini society refuses,” Al Marran said.
Likewise, Abdullah Bu Ammar, Secretary General of the Islamic Unity Association thinks that “Al Wefaq” believes sectarianism succeeded in splitting the Bahraini society into sects and tribes such as “Husseinis and Yazeedees”. It has helped sedition appear and grow up in Bahrain. It has also implemented international agendas and specifically an Iranian one. It has also been involved in social agitation and in threatening those who disagree with its line of thoughts. He added that “Al Wefaq” “masters doubting people who disagree with it and tries to put down every other project. For instance, it wanted to disturb the dialogue the King has called for during the last crisis by imposing far-fetched conditions; then it tried to ignore the Bahraini population and defends her interests only after declaring that it is the only association liable to start a dialogue with the government. And because this was unaccepted by all, “Al Wefaq” was not serious in the national dialogue and it minimized its importance; finally, it withdrew. This is a clear and a known tactic and scenario and many citizens have expected it to happen. ““Al Wefaq” must get rid of its irresponsible behaviour”, Bu Ammar said. “It is no longer trusted and its plan is clear to everybody. It should rather contribute to the national unity instead of implementing international agendas which harm the kingdom. It should also dare apologize to Bahraini people about the last crisis and it should try to gain all people’s confidence and not just the confidence of few people who share its thoughts and doctrine.
In fact, ““Al Wefaq” has always been bizarre in its principles since its founding at the outset of this millennium when his Majesty the King started his reform project. “Al Wefaq” has always been against the government and criticized its work and it often tried to catch people’s sympathy and play on sectarianism forgetting about the Bahrain’s social and economic interests.
And at the beginning of the reform project, ““Al Wefaq” largely refused to participate in the parliamentary life after 2002 and boycotted any parliamentary cooperation by refusing that the government appoints a council in parallel to the parliament. It also refused the geographical division (administrative divisions of Bahrain). It even asked to stop applying the 2002 constitution and conducted several marches to impose its agenda and to put down the “National Action Charter” 98.4% of the voters voted in favour of in 2001. This shows that “Al Wefaq” was against the national consensus and against the 2002 constitution which included the National Assembly with its house of representatives with 40 elected representatives and the appointed council chosen by his Majesty the king of Bahrain and which also includes 40 members.
People have happily proceeded with the reform and they elected their representatives without paying attention to “Al Wefaq’s” illogical complaints.
Then “Al Wefaq” took part in the 2006 elections and it registered at the Ministry of Justice to become a legal association. This happened in congruence with the 2002 constitution which “Al Wefaq” had been against before. And so, “Al Wefaq’s” goal was no longer to put down the 2002 constitution. This decision was carried out after the advisory opinions or “Fatawee” of its Shiite reference such as Essa Qassem and Sistani. This has caused an internal conflict between “Al Wefaq’s” members and caused Hassan Misheyma to quit and create his illegal association “Al Haq”.
And although “Al Wefaq” has won 17 seats in the 2006 elections and 18 seats in the 2010 elections, it has never stopped complaining and pretending to be victimized and has never been able to cope with civilised political life or able to suggest efficient solutions to social and economic affairs.
And the conflict came to a head between “Al Wefaq” and other political counterparts in 2011 when “Al Wefaq” decided to “grant” Bahrain to “Wilayat Al Faqih” (clerical governance). The crisis started with social demands like in what happened in the Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions but the agitation quickly accentuated and turned into political demands the purpose of which is to dethrone the kingdom’s political regime and to insist on its submission to “Wilayat Al Faqih” in Iran and to its terrorist project in Bahrain and in the Gulf; a project they have been preparing for 30 years.
“Al Wefaq” serves an international agenda and creates trouble to put pressure on the Bahraini kingdom under the umbrella of social reforms. Its demands are neither national nor popular at all. On the contrary, its demands are illegal and illogical. Renaming Bahrain by Hassan Misheyma “The Islamic Republic of Bahrain” is an example.
“Al Wefaq” has also accentuated its demands by asking the government, the council of representatives and of Shura to resign and then setting a council to manage the kingdom’s affairs. Besides “Al Wefaq” added more conditions before starting the national dialogue the Prince Salman Ben Hamad Al Khalifa called for at that time. “Al Wefaq” was accused of misconduct at that period including marching in front of the King’s Diwan on March 11th, 2011 and preventing people from going to their job by blocking roads and causing trouble at Bahrain University.
And even after declaring the national safety state on March 15, 2011, “Al Wefaq” members have caused harm to the kingdom. In fact, its members travelled to Kuwait and Lebanon to restart the national dialogue, which has already been successfully carried out in Bahrain.
But “Al Wefaq” led by “Wilayat Al Faqih” has proposed illogical conditions to restart the national dialogue. These conditions were not accepted by the king, the government or the people. And again, “Al Wefaq” has started complaining and using Iranian TV channels propaganda for their demands as if “Al Wefaq” forgot that Bahrain is an Arab, Muslim, Gulf kingdom that is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council, a member of the Arab League and of the United Nations and should not be submitted to “Wilayat Al Faqih” and Iran.
Still, “Al Wefaq” would like to speak on behalf of the Bahraini people and is against the national dialogue although it represents only part of the Shiites. Many Bahraini Shiites are against “Al Wefaq” because it serves the interests of Iran. Ironically, “Al Wefaq” pretends to speak on behalf of all Shiites, which is not true.
This national dialogue is secured by his majesty the king to reach a national consensus in the present and in the future. He has invited all people to participate in this dialogue without any conditions. This decision has been praised by national and international political figures.
