Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished members of the European Parliament
Honourable Josep Borrell, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the European Union,
On such days in April 1925, the Iranian military authorities violated all international norms and laws and occupied the state of Ahwaz, and inhumanely imposed on the Ahwazi people the forbidden policy of ethnic cleansing.
They deprived people of all their basic human rights and their right to determine their political, economic and cultural destiny, which is a clear violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all international laws. Thus, Iranian occupation has confiscated all natural resources, especially oil, gas, and agricultural lands and they have deliberately drained rivers, and transported water to Iranian cities, in order to displace Ahwazis.
They brought settlers to change the demographics of Ahwaz and deal with the indigenous population in all aspects of daily life, especially in Work, employment and everything related to the Ahwazi citizen, At a time when it finances terrorism and criminal militias in the region, as well as its arsenal of booby-trapped marches and ballistic missiles, and its biological and nuclear projects that destabilize regional and international security and stability with the money it derives from natural resources, especially Ahwazi oil and gas
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Iranian authorities prevented the Ahwazi people from expressing their legitimate demands by peaceful means through their violent suppression of any civil political activity in Ahwaz, and thus, they responded to any peaceful gathering or demonstration with fire, massive arrests, torture, assassinations, and mass and individual executions in public facilities.
It is worth noting that Iranian authorities also pursue Ahwazi refugees in foreign countries, with the purpose of killing or kidnapping them. They terrorize people and deprive them of their legitimate human rights, and their right to self-determination.
Ladies and gentlemen,
The Ahwazi people call on you to raise your voice and to take immediate actions against the Iranian regime, and its heinous crimes against millions of Ahwais. Also, to demand the Iranian authorities to comply with international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and to allow the Ahwazi people to express their demands peacefully. Also, we call on you to exert maximum pressure on the Iranian authorities to immediately release all Ahwazi political prisoners.
